Research at the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology

The research activities of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology faculty are supported by a number of different sources, such as the National Institutes of Health (NIH) National Cancer Institute (NCI), the National Institute on Aging, the Department of Defense, non-federal granting agencies, and private contributions. Faculty research involves many areas related to Women’s Health; including cancer, the complications of pregnancy, reproductive genetics and endocrinology, and the behaviors of various populations in matters of sexuality, contraception, illness, and health.
