Continuing medical education for physicians is also offered. Obstetric and gynecologic education consists of instruction at all levels of participation -- outpatient clinics, labor and delivery, operating rooms, inpatient areas, and laboratories -- with active resident participation under proper supervision. Research opportunities are available in the areas of gynecology, gynecologic endocrinology, urogynecology, gynecologic oncology, family planning, maternal-fetal medicine, genetics, and ethics. Subspecialty fellowships are available in maternal-fetal medicine and family planning.
