| Over one weekend, we offer our complete Lamaze Childbirth preparation course. We suggest that the expectant mother and her partner complete the class at least a month prior to her due date. All instructors are Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educators. A Lamaze refresher class is available to those who have previously taken the complete course. | ||||||||

Here’s a fantastic class for first time parents who do not plan on taking Lamaze classes. Attend this four-week series that covers childbirth education and infant care. The childbirth sessions will familiarize you with what you might expect during labor and delivery. The infant care sessions explain how to provide physical and emotional care of the newborn and young infant, as well as information on growth patterns and breastfeeding. General first aid safety and car seat information are also discussed. |

American Heart Association instructors provide directions on the infant chain of survival, which includes prevention of injuries, cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and relief of foreign body airway obstruction. The techniques taught are specifically for newborns and infants up to one year old. |

Breastfeeding Your New Infant
| In this one-session class, our lactation consultant helps expectant parents learn about breastfeeding essentials, including infant latch-on and positioning, monitoring infant intake and output, maternal diet and troubleshooting problems. There is also a review of various breast pumps and a discussion on planning needs for mothers who will return to work | ||||||||||||
